Motorway Driving Lessons in Swindon

Yes, motorway lessons are something I offer, and Swindon's genuinely well-placed for it, direct access from both M4 Junction 15 and Junction 16.

Why the motorway, specifically

Motorway driving is useful for building up speed gradually, getting comfortable driving at higher speeds, and developing forward planning, seeing further ahead and reacting earlier rather than later. Most learners find it changes how they think about driving generally, not just on motorways.

How I actually use it

A motorway lesson isn't really about "doing a motorway lesson" for its own sake. I use it to work on a specific skill a learner needs, whichever that happens to be, rather than treating it as a box to tick. Whether it's worth doing, and when, depends on where you're at.

Routes I typically use

Swindon sits right on the M4, with Junction 15 (linking to the A419 and A346 towards Marlborough) on the east side, and Junction 16 (linking to the A3102 towards Wootton Bassett and Calne) on the west. My usual route heads out to Junction 17, joining the A350 towards Chippenham, a straightforward stretch that works well for building confidence. Sometimes we go further, out towards Bristol, where the M4 meets the M32 and the M5, giving a longer run and the chance to practise a genuine motorway-to-motorway interchange.
